Our family went to Outback tonight for a dinner out. It can be  bit of a production now with two children and two adults. The staff helped block us in a corner which made the experience a little less stressful. You could tell Lex really wanted to eat some of the food from the table along with us. Soon, little man. Soon.

We went back to DuPont today to see a nutritionist. Lex will be treated to a mix of nursing and formula over the next week and we will weigh in on Tuesday and see how our progress is.

We saw the GI doctor with DuPont at the Newtown Square office. He let us know that Lex's tests all came back normal. He recommended we see a nutritionist- it sounds like Lex is not getting enough calories. They call this a "Failure to Thrive." He'd like to see us in 2 months and hear back from us every time we get a weight check done.

Today we had Lexington's baptism. When the pastor as for Lex's full name, he seem shocked to hear 'Danger' was a part of it.

"I'm sorry- what was that? Danger? Do you mind if I ask why?" 

It turns out he's a third generation Cornelius and Lexington was born on the feast day of Saint Cornelius so Father used his name in the ceremony. Aunt Maureen and Uncle Frank were honored to be the godparents.

It was the first full day of Lex's new eating schedule. When we handed him the first bottle after nursing he looked confused and excited. He has a very expressive eyebrows. I don't think we are going to get any complaints from his camp.

We took Lex to A I DuPont today to get his blood work done. He was a brave little boy.  Lexington never cried but he did watch the nurse the entire time because he wanted to know what she was doing. She gave him a blue bandage and a squeaker frog to take home.

Today we went to the doctor for Lexington. He needed a seven month weight check. The doctor said he didn't gain as much weight as was expected and now we should go for some tests.

We went to Lex's doctor's appointment to check on our baby's weight and figure out a game plan. It seems the little guy is more little than he should be. He is in the .5% for weight in his age group.

Lorelai, Daddy, and Lex were playing rescue puppies today while Mama was at work. They had an elaborate story line going where a helicopter, fire truck, police car, and bulldozer were all needed to save the day!

Lex spent the whole day sleeping or eating. Someone is growing! Good thing Daddy started helping Lex take his naps upstairs so he can get his beauty rest!

Lex is crawling!! It is not crawling in the traditional sense- Daddy calls it an army crawl and mama calls it 'doing the worm'- but movement is movement!

Lex is climbing over Daddy and Gigi to show off his strong legs and toes. He is one determined, curious little boy.

Danger is his middle name and with a smile like that, it is no wonder. Lexington is so handsome that it's dangerous.

Lex is 7 months old today! He's getting so big. He loves playing and getting the attention of his big sister.

Today daddy started putting Lex upstairs to take his naps in the daytime. With Lorelai being so active, Daddy had been holding Lex to let him sleep up until now. It's going very well so far!

Lexington is an enthusiastic eater. He hasn't tried a food yet that he didn't gobble right up. That is a great sign for his growth and his parent's sanity!

Lex tried prunes and apples baby food today. Daddy mentioned that his poops are more like a big boys' now too. He's growing up!

Today we went to Sunshine's 2nd birthday party! She had a circus and carnival in her back yard!!

We had a pretty busy day today between naps. Mama and Lorelai went to the store while Daddy and Lex played together. We went to Chris's house to play then had dinner at a restaurant with Grand Boop.

Just before bedtime, Lorelai is given the iPad to watch videos or play games. It is her way of unwinding. Now with little brother around, there is some competition for the screen.

Lex almost crawled! He has the idea but not all of the coordination yet.

Lorelai is an excellent crawling coach. She is so enthusiastic about baby brother's big steps in learning.

Mama took a half-day today so we could meet our cousins at the park! Lorelai had lunch and played in the sun with Aunt Col, Lucas, and Jacob while Lex took a nap in the shade. It was a beautiful day.

Happy Easter! Lorelai helped Lex find eggs this morning after he got up. Soon after, she helped him look thru his Easter basket. Now Lex has a cell phone too like Lorelai's Hello Kitty phone. She was so excited, Lorelai wanted to help Lex use it right away.

We dyed eggs today at Chris's house. Lex didn't do any of the actual dying but he was an enthusiastic observer. Later while they were drying, we went to the park. Lex enjoyed the fresh air too!

Lex must be growing-- he spent most of the day sleeping and eating. Oh, the life of a baby!

Lex held himself in a sitting position twice today without any support. He wasn't up for very long but he's getting stronger every day!
