We took a family photo tonight. It was challenging to get both Lex and Lorelai to look at the camera at the same time but the results are adorable.

Lorelai is beyond excited to help Lex learn about eating and puffs. Lex is trying banana flavor today for the first time. The flavor may be a little strong for him.

We had dinner at cousin Chris's house tonight. Aunt Mo and Uncle Frank loved getting to snuggle Lex for a little bit longer than normal today.

Today, we went to Mama's cousin Dan's party. He is joining the Navy next week and we wanted to see him off and wish him safe travels.

Lorelai made an "instrument" today with her princess castle Legos. Lex also seems to want to play the plastic whistle.

Daddy is teaching Lex his sweet dance moves. "Dancin' dancin' dancin'!"

Lex gets so excited. He tries to climb over Daddy, using his feet and toes to push off to gain purchase.

We went out to dinner to night with Grand Boop. Lex was very well behaved and interested in all of the food everyone else was eating. He was moving his mouth like he was chewing, mimicking the faces he saw. Brilliant.

We had Lex's 6 month check up today. The doctor's office asked us to come back in a month-- his measurements seem a little off. He didn't gain as much weight as they had expected him to. And of course, as soon as the little peanut fell asleep on Mama, it was time for his shots. Just a pinch and it was over, though, and Lex is a very brave little boy.

Happy birthday to big sister! Lex was an angel at the restaurant with Nana for the birthday celebration dinner. Afterwards, we met up with Uncle Spike and Gigi for some shopping. It was a very eventful day.

For Christmas, Lex and Lorelai received flashlight sticks in blue and yellow. Lex loves to use his as a teether. Lorelai likes to make sure the light is one while he is chewing it so she can see it glow in his mouth.

He wears a bow tie now. Bow ties are cool.

Lorelai gave Lex the foam lamb she used to play with when she was his age. I brought a small tear to mama's eye.

Tonight we celebrated Nicky's birthday. Happy 3rd birthday, cousin!

Lorelai and Lex were invited over to Gigi's house today for a sleepover! Lorelai was more than happy to except on both of their behalves. Lorelai loves slumber parties.

Tonight at Gigi's house, Lex got his hands and knees up under him all by himself. We are seconds away from crawling and being really dangerous.

Oh no! Big sister must be asleep if Lex has control of the book! There is a Fisher Price app that he likes with moving animals and songs.

For just a few seconds today at lunch, Lex pulled himself up to a sitting position.

Our Lex is always such a happy, playful baby. He loves to wrestle with blankets, pillows, and plush toys.

We watched Big Hero 6 today with our cousins over at Nana's house. Lex was very interested in the movie. He had a hard time holding his bottle or nursing- he kept trying to catch a peek of the action.

Lex has started biting while he is nursing. Mama is simply not a fan.

Lorelai picked out a book this afternoon so she could read to her baby brother. And later and better late than never, Lorelai helped Lex take his 5 month old pictures.

Not to brag but Lexington may be the happiest baby in the world. It is usually so easy to get him to smile and laugh. And he has the most adorable giggle.

Lex will no longer allow himself to be laid down in his pillow while we are having dinner. He is so strong- he pulls himself up into almost fully sitting all by himself. He's growing up too fast.

Lex is working on his crawling and Lorelai is trying to help teach him. She put on their lion hats and told Lex that this is how a kitty walks then showed him and tried to help him move his arms and legs like a kitty.
