Lex has learned how to climb on to the couch from the floor all by himself. It is a very dangerous game that we play now.

We went to Uncle Spike and Aunt Erin's house tonight for dinner. Before eating, there were some games to play outside. Lex played on Gigi's corn-hole team. He did a pretty good job but mainly wanted to test the bean bags for flavor.

Lex has got this dinner thing in the bag. We do have to strip him down before eating but still-- flawless victory!

Happy Pop-pop Pizza Night. We moved the weekly family gatherings to Fridays now. It makes a nice cap to the week and start to the weekend. Having all the kids together can get quite noisy but we love to see them play.

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. Lex is one of the happiest little boys we have ever met. The camera sang "If You're Happy and You Know It" and wouldn't you know, Lex clapped right on queue.

A large box came in the mail this week. Coincidentally, we also enjoyed an episode of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood where Daniel and his friends imagine that their box is many different fun things to play with. Lorelai declared the box to be a spaceship. She and Daddy colored and drew designs on the sides. Lex boarded the ship with the pilot, his big sister, and the two enjoyed being pushed around the room by Daddy... er... the ship's engines.

Assumingly he likes the feel of the cold metal on his gums but possibly also he enjoys the danger he puts himself in by trying to chew on the knob under the table that Mama has her laptop on.

That little bugger, Lex. He is trying to be just like big sister including drinking big sister's milk. Lex! That's not nursings!

We had a family adventure tonight at BJs to do a little grocery shopping. Lorelai sang and danced while we shopped Lex around the store. There were some samples too but Lex is still a little too young for what they were offering. Lorelai was happy to tell him about what he was missing so he would know if he would like it in the future.

Lex had an appointment with his GI doctor today. He has made good progress and is getting bigger all the time though he is down from his last weigh in. Time to increase his calories by increasing the powder in formula bottles and offering Lex an extra bottle after nursing.

Today while playing in Nana's craft room, Lex made a very earnest attempt to climb her craft cart. That one is going to be a wild one- living up to his name already.

He's so proud. Lex has figured out the button on his light saber. Now his little cheeks glow blue or red while he's chewing on his favorite toy.

So full of mischief, this face. Lex loves to get up under Mama's computer and pull at the wires and drum on the couch.

Big sister and baby brother are playing kitties together. Lorelai is so excited for Lex to play with her and Lex is just excited to have her attention. They are an awesome team.

Our Lexing had his first Popsicle tonight at Nana's house. Mama was having a Popsicle with Lorelai after dinner and Lex seemed very interested in a taste. He would not let it out of his sight once he had a lick.

Today was Lucas' birthday party! Lucas was very excited to have his cousins over to have fun in the pool and play. Lucas noticed that Lex was interested in his birthday presents. He took the time to explain each toy and piece to Lex. Everyone should know the magic of Lego Ninjago.

Lex's smirk is just precious. He finds something to laugh about in every situation. Daddy wanted to share his hat with Lexi but Lex thought it was too too silly. That hat is for Daddy!

Lorelai took it upon herself to take pictures of everyone tonight. She asked Daddy to help her get a picture of Lex. She wanted him to look at her and smile. Gee, that does sound familiar.

We had a fun time with Aunt Mo, Uncle Frank, and Chris today. We went to the Freedom park then back to their house for a BBQ. Lex had a chance to show off his crawling skills on hardwood floors and show his Godparents he new-found love of Puffs. This was also his first time sitting in the grass on his own.

Lex finds the Jesse hat hilarious. Especially when Lorelai is in bed and cannot get upset about his interest in it.

Lex and Lorelai enjoy looking out the open window to feel the breeze and see what animals travel thru our backyard. Lorelai gets excited when she sees squirrels and birds. Lex gets excited when Lorelai lets him join in her activities.

Daddy was feeding Lex his dinner when Lorelai came out for am impromptu check up. She has a diagnosis! He has hungry-for-dinner-itus.

Later on when Lex was getting sleepy and cranky, Lorelai offered to share her book with him to make him feel better. " It's okay. Mommy is going to put on Disney Collector and makes you not so sad so you don't cry."

Gigi pointed out tonight how great Lex is now at sitting and holding himself up. Lex even did his standing trick for her. He loves to hear the cheering and applause when he has done something very impressive. His little chest puffs out and a big smile forms on his face.

Lex's tummy is very ticklish. Even just a little giggle will make him erupt in big belly laughs.

Lex is moving so fast now. He almost got into the bunny room chasing after Lorelai.  And wouldn't you know that she was calling for him? Partners in crime.

Sometimes Lex walks to the front door to greet Mama after work like Lorelai used to when she was small. And sometimes Lorelai comes running on her own and Daddy carries Lex. Either way, it is one of the best parts of Mama's day.

Lex pulled himself up from laying on his belly to a kneeling position today. He had a huge smile and so much pride in his eyes when he looked at mama. Such a big boy.

Guess what Lex was saving up for Mother's Day! He pulled himself to stand up all by him self using the couch. So big and proud!!

Lex loves spinning toys now. He'll spend hours on the floor just spinning them, lying on his side and entertaining himself. He especially loves the toy that he got from Gavin and Mikey. It's a triangle with several spinning parts.

Lex has been enjoying his extra bottles after nursing. He is growing more every day-- hopefully our next appointment has good new. It feels like it has to be good news!

Today Lexington was very interested in his mailman. He flipped him this way, that way, and eventually gnawed on his body.

Lexington is quite the flirt. We tried so hard to get a picture of him playing peekaboo with his bib tonight but all he wanted to do was give mommy eyes.

Lexington saw 7 ounce of growth in one week! The doctor is happy and we're on the right track.

Pop-pop was holding Lex when he decided he wanted to go on a tour of the couch. He seemed to really like the horse race on the TV too.

Our family went to Outback tonight for a dinner out. It can be  bit of a production now with two children and two adults. The staff helped block us in a corner which made the experience a little less stressful. You could tell Lex really wanted to eat some of the food from the table along with us. Soon, little man. Soon.

We went back to DuPont today to see a nutritionist. Lex will be treated to a mix of nursing and formula over the next week and we will weigh in on Tuesday and see how our progress is.

We saw the GI doctor with DuPont at the Newtown Square office. He let us know that Lex's tests all came back normal. He recommended we see a nutritionist- it sounds like Lex is not getting enough calories. They call this a "Failure to Thrive." He'd like to see us in 2 months and hear back from us every time we get a weight check done.
